The brand’s success lies in its ability to conjure up architectural dream lifestyles and as a result, Dream Properties® has become synonymous with the finest real estate available for sale in Canada’s capital, Ottawa.
Dreamproperties.com was launched in 1996 as one of the first real estate websites in Canada. The brand quickly gained momentum locally, nationally and internationally, culminating in Dream Properties® receiving a Canadian copyright in 2010. That copyright led Marilyn to bring Christie’s International Real Estate to Ottawa in 2011 to enhance Dream Properties® global reach. With auction houses in New York, London, Beijing, Shanghai and Dubai and Christie’s International Real Estate offices worldwide, this was a perfect fit.
Simultaneously, Marilyn opened her boutique luxury real estate brokerage, Marilyn Wilson Dream Properties® Inc., in conjunction with Christie’s global network, allowing for three tiers of marketing: local, national and international.
The story continued in 2014 as Dream Properties® became a multigenerational brokerage when Marilyn’s daughter, Reba Wilson, joined the firm. Today Reba is the firm’s Broker of Record, an award-winning Realtor and guides the brokerage with her exceptional communication, marketing and negotiation skills. Reba’s passion for marketing the Dream Properties® brand has contributed significantly to its visibility, and her contributions to the luxury market drive the brand’s new look and multigenerational appeal.

Marilyn’s milestone career sales include the eight highest-priced homes ever to sell in Ottawa, representing both buyers and sellers in all eight transactions. For 32 years, Marilyn has sold the highest-priced property in the city. Marilyn, with her co-listing partner, Reba, has brokered more milestone residential sales than any other agent in the city. Together Reba and Marilyn enjoy a 100% market share for homes $5M and above and an unprecedented 86% market share for homes $4M and above from 2020 to date. In 2023, they have again sold the highest sale in the city.
